I’d like to tell you a story. I don’t usually tell… stories… well, not like this. But something happened to me, and I’m having a difficult time finding someone who could really understand exactly what it was. Even I’m not sure I understand exactly what it was. It was very strange. One night when I was walking home, I looked up at the sky and suddenly realized that I hadn’t seen the stars in years. Now what had I been doing all this time, that that wouldn’t have happened? Where had my head been turned - had it all been a dream? I flung myself down in a patch of grass and looked up, tried to drink everything in. All those little dots that I’d missed. As I stared at them - the stars, of course - everything began to spin faster and fast. And that’s when I realized:
I was just fucked up.
First there was a void
Then there was you
Then you were the void
What should I do?
Haven’t seen the stars in years
I’m still crying through my tears, baby
Where have we been?
Didn’t know that it was spring
Didn’t know pretty much anything
Please let me in
Once I was a kid
Trapped in my room
And everything I did
Would be over soon
How to fall out of this hole
Getting old never seems to get old
Or so I’m told
By myself (that’s right)
Everything must have an end
Like pretending you’re my friend
(pretend you’re my friend)
So hey how’s it going? Uhh… I haven’t uhh, seen you in a really long time. I know I said it was the stars and all, but the truth is, I meant you. ‘Cause… you’re the stars to me… baby. You’re more than just the stars, you know, you’re uh, you’re everything, and uh, it’s just been a while since I’ve seen you… was hoping that you would feel the same way… as me…

Such a gorgeous sound!
The on-point instrumentals and some pretty perfectly spun lyrics have me hooked.
Wouldnt have made it through the last few workdays without 'em! DJGonzuc
